Mini Bead Cap Forms

Here is a little something I made today to solve a problem I was having with tiny concave bead caps. My caps were coming out way to flat when I dried them on the pointy end of a plastic Easter egg, I needed something smaller. Here I have placed a plastic bead onto two toothpicks taped together with masking tape. I taped them keeping the two toothpicks slightly apart so the ends won't stick out of the top of the bead and punch a hole in my damp metal clay. Then I pierced two holes side by side in florist foam and stuck my toothpick bead contraption into the oblong hole.
The second picture has metal clay caps drying on top of the beads.
