Here is a little something I made today to solve a problem I was having with tiny concave bead caps. My caps were coming out way to flat when I dried them on the pointy end of a plastic Easter egg, I needed something smaller. Here I have placed a plastic bead onto two toothpicks taped together with masking tape. I taped them keeping the two toothpicks slightly apart so the ends won't stick out of the top of the bead and punch a hole in my damp metal clay. Then I pierced two holes side by side in florist foam and stuck my toothpick bead contraption into the oblong hole.
The second picture has metal clay caps drying on top of the beads.

A Little About Me
I am an artist and a mom of two wonderful kids. I am very passionate about my kids and creating pieces of art. One of my creative passions is Metal Clay. I have been working in precious metal clay since 2007 and have loved every minute of my adventure with metal clay.
For me, the creative process starts in my head. I spend many hours creating visual concepts in my head. After I create this mental visual picture the next step is to get it down on paper to work out the kinks. I also spend a lot of time thinking about and figuring out the next step in a project, and resolving problems. Each piece I make is methodically thought out and great attention is paid to every little detail. It is a great passion of mine to read and research everything I can find relating to metal clay. Today's Internet world is a wonderful avenue for me to do my research. Metal clay artists are very generous with the information the share. I also love to take classes. Not only do you learn new things from the teacher but from all of your fellow classmates as well. I have also found wonderful online classes which keep me learning new things all the time. Learning is growing.
